Kate Goldrick, National Sales Manager – The Seaweed Bath Co.
In our Meet the Team series, we are introduce you to our staff and team members who make The Seaweed Bath Co. such a great company.
Today we are featuring Kate Goldrick, our new National Sales Manager. Kate started at the Seaweed Bath Co. in September 2012 and oversees all national and international retail sales. Kate brings more than seven years of natural products sales and marketing experience to The Seaweed Bath Co.
We asked Kate to answer a few questions about herself:
The Seaweed Bath Co. (“SBC”): Where did you go to college and what did you study?
Kate: I went to Marlboro College and studied Art History.
SBC: What did you do before joining SBC?
Kate: I was the Director of Corporate Sales at Nutraceutical Corporation.
SBC: What is your favorite part of your job?
Kate: I go to work every day with the knowledge that the products I am selling & promoting have the ability to change people’s lives for the better.
SBC: What is your favorite hobby?
Kate: Rockhounding – my husband bought me a rock tumbler for my 32nd birthday (I always wanted one as a kid) so now we go out and collect rocks for the tumbler. There is a lot of mineral diversity to be found in Central Texas – we have collected everything from jasper to smoky quartz to malachite & azurite, copper, silver, serpentine… . The tumbled rocks end up as jewelry or in the garden, in the fish tank or in bowls around my house! At this time I have well over 40 lbs of rock material in my garage. I am going to be tumbling for a long time. 
SBC: What is your favorite Seaweed Bath Co. product and why?
Kate: Wildly Natural Argan Shampoo & Conditioner – Eucalyptus & Peppermint. I love the tingly feeling these products impart on my scalp, it’s a refreshing way to wake up. Plus with all the Argan Oil in these formulas, my occasionally dry scalp gets nourished and my hair feels amazingly soft & healthy.
SBC: What is the best advice you have ever received?
Kate: The key to happiness is making other people happy, take your SELF out of the equation.
SBC: If you could go anywhere in the world on a two-week vacation, where would you go, why would you go there, and who would you bring?
Kate: My husband is my favorite traveling companion, he is not afraid to just go along with it & see where the adventure takes us. So with our 2-week vacation (and unlimited funds?) we would get a Eurorail pass & explore Europe – visit museums, eat & drink with the locals and see where each day takes us. Maybe we spend all 2 weeks in the same city, or maybe we spend each night in a different city? Either way good food & good art are on the agenda.
SBC: What one famous person (alive or dead) would you want to meet and why?
Kate: Gandhi or the Dalai Lama – they inspire & remind me to be a better person.
SBC: Anything else we should know about you?
Kate: My husband says I have a rescue problem – we have 2 rescue Boxers & 6 rescue cats… all living somewhat peacefully under one roof.
